Today was sadly Tim and Skip’s last day. We had an AMAZING time with them here! It was definitely a well spent afternoon. We woke up to have some amazing Pain Perdu with fresh fruit from the fruit stand on our street and fresh squeezed raspberry apple juice form the Loire Valley!
After a great breakfast [...]

It was beautiful today, so we ate our salads by the Seine.
Despite, the two gypsies that used the same “oh, did you drop this gold ring?” trick to try and rob us, the afternoon went well.
Afterwards, we walked through the Tuileries to catch the Metro.
Now, we are just waiting for Timshel and Skip to get [...]
Voting in the Tuileries

During the last election, I watched, volunteered, and followed every move, but I couldn’t vote. Heartbroken at the results, I am now ecstatic to finally be able to fill in the the little bubble next to Barack Obama!
As much as the Tuileries was a beautiful setting for such a joyous moment, I am a bit [...]

In the past week, Paul and I have been lucky enough to have Patty and Phil AND Timshel and Skip here! It has been such a party. We did everything we could in the few days Patty and Phil had, packing it to the max. We took them to Notre Dame, the Louvre, Musee d’Orsay, [...]

A Day Under the Sun in Oui Paris

The past few days have been absolutely beautiful here! It has been sunny, warm, and amazing as always. This morning we walked down to the Blois de Vincennes to rent a boat on the Lac Daumasnil. It was overpriced, of course, but totally worth the romantic adventure and perfect setting.
Paul was our buff oarsman.
Afterwards, Paul [...]

We are starting to get a feel for the city. I’ve told some of you about the bar we went to our last night in Montmartre. It was called Footsie, which is a play on FTSE the name of the stock exchange. Each 3 minutes the prices of drinks change based on supply and demand [...]
